About the Role:
Wisconsin Lakefront Property Management LLC is looking for a detail-oriented Property Management Accountant to join our team in Sheboygan, WI. Responsibilities:
- Setup and maintain each business balance sheet and perform bank reconciliation on a timely and monthly basis
- Audit day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries
- Own all aspects of accounting for our new construction projects including data entry, bill payment, bank reconciliation and balance sheets
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budget variance reports, and property-level financial reporting
- Assist with annual budget preparation and forecasting for managed properties
- Support year-end close processes and assist with tax preparation documentation
- Ensure compliance with applicable generally accepted accounting principals, accounting standards and property management regulations
Requirements:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred
- 2+ years of accounting experience, preferably in property management or real estate
- Proficiency in property management or accounting software (prefer Rent Manager experience, but Quickbooks is helpful)
- Strong understanding of balance sheet structure, proper accounting for real estate assets, general ledgers, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Must love numbers and math
- Ability to manage multiple properties and deadlines simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with a team
